Applying for the Apprenticeship Program
Application shoud be made in person at the IECA of Arizona office. All applicants for the IECA of Arizona Apprenticeship Program must have a high school diploma (or GED), their one dependable transportation, and must be able to do the physical work required. To apply for the program the following paperwork must be completed:
- Program Application - supplied by IECA of Arizona
- Math Assessment Test - supplied by IECA of Arizona
- Birth Certificate
- High School Transcript or GED
- College / Trade School Transcripts - if applicable
- DD214 (discharge papers from military service) - if applicable
- I-9 - supplied by IECA of Arizona (this is an employment eligibilty verification form which requires 2 forms of ID, usually a social security card and valid AZ drivers license)
- 3 personal character reference letters
- 3 employer reference letters
- Substance Abuse Form, passing report - form supplied for testing after all other paperwork has been recieved.
After all the paperwork is completed, the candidate will be scheduled for an interview with the Apprenticeship Committee, which meets on the second Tuesday of each month.
